Firefighter turned Real Estate Agent

I have been a full-time firefighter for a little over 10 years. I remember what it took to grind through the process to get hired: written tests, classes, certifications, physical agility tests, oral interviews, paramedic school, fire academy... you get the point.

Now, as a newly licensed real estate agent, I feel like I'm back in the basic fire academy. Setting up websites, CRM, social media, data analytics, building customer base, networking, ordering marketing material, learning the MLS, paying for association dues, paying for marketing, paying for business cards... you get the point.

I do know that I will work just as hard as a Real Estate agent as I did to get my dream job. The beauty of both careers: I get to help people. While it may not look the same (protecting lives and property vs. helping clients buy and sell property) the mission is the same: Serve others and add value in people's lives.

This a journey and I'm excited to jump in head first.
