The First 3 Tips to Staging Homes Successfully

Contain 800x800

When it - comes to staging homes for sale, there are a few key steps that you should take to help your property stand out from the rest. Real estate experts agree that following the first three tips below is essential in any successful home staging:

1. Declutter and Clean – Start by removing all of your personal items and unnecessary furniture pieces from the home, so potential buyers can imagine themselves living in it. Make sure every corner of the house is spotless, as any dirt or clutter will be very noticeable in photos or during showings.

2. Make Repairs – Take some time to make all necessary repairs throughout the home such as patching holes in walls, fixing broken locks and windows, replacing old fixtures, and more. Not only will this make the home look and feel better, but it’ll also increase its value in the eyes of buyers.

3. Neutralize – Keep furniture and decorations neutral so that potential buyers can envision themselves living there without having to rearrange or personalize much—it’s all about making them feel at home! Paint walls a light hue, use neutral-colored rugs and curtains, and go for minimal décor with a few accent pieces here or there.

By following these three tips when staging your home, you are sure to attract many potential buyers as they tour your property in search of their dream house. Good luck out there!
