Questioning everything..

I found myself questioning everything all day today; Can I do this? What if I can't? Am I understanding everything completely?

Every person I talk to has different opinions about what I can or can't do, but I guess what it comes down to is believing in myself. I've decided to go for it and the worst that can happen is that I fail.....but I'll "try try again". I've found an agent who is absolutely amazing! Not only is she familiar with investing (many aspects of it) but she is patient and willing to answer my questions, talk me through everything and give me advice. Thank you so much Eileen!!!

Right now as I'm ready to go to sleep and start tomorrow fresh, the only questions I have are: Should I continue to look for buyers for my wholesale properties for the rest of this week, or should I just start making offers and market like crazy? It may be pretty simple for some of you investors out there...but I'm working with a VERY limited amount of resources. What would be the best course of action?

Thanks to Dr. Wayne Dyer and his "Excuses Begone" seminar I will be sure to spend the last 5 minutes before I fall asleep thinking about all the good things that happened today, and imagine that everything has already worked itself out in the end...so I just need to keep moving forward. Hopefully I'll wake up knowing exactly what to do!

Thanks for reading, I'll be sure to write an update tomorrow! Any suggestions or comments or whatever please let me know...I take the good with the bad :).

Nite

  1. Tamara, The most important thing you can do in this process is put 100% confidence in yourself, which you are doing. That is #1. Will you have all the answers tomorrow? No, none of us do, but this is a growth process. Find the one thing in this industry that excites you and stick with that one strategy and you will be successful.

  2. Tamara, It is my opinion that there are several stopping points for would be investors and the fear you just identified is one of the first. I can't count the number of people I have met that either wanted to be an investor or actually started investing but quit before they reached their goals. The reason most, over 90%, don't ever make it is because they allow excuses to stop them. There are far too many people out there that will justify your excuse for not moving forward on any goal. The challenge is to move forward regardless of the obstacles. You sound like a determined person so use that to your advantage. Instead of allowing challenges, which you Will face, stop you continue to find ways around them. Not only will this help get you to your goal it will make you a whole lot smarter. Then after you make it you will know exactly what new investors are going through and can assist them with what you have learned. As far as not having much $ to start with... don't worry about it. I think not having money to start investing is a benefit. If you have money you have little reason to be creative or "think outside the box" as some would say. You could just buy the property and move on. In your situation, the same way I started by the way, you will have to be creative to be successful. Continue to increase your knowledge and move forward toward your goal. On a side note working with a good realtor is a great step, but also keep in mind that working with the seller (home owner) directly is often better. There are a ton of people out there right now that need the help of an educated real estate investor. Good luck, I look forward to your progress reports. No Excuses!
