Chula Vista continues to attract more buyers than sellers. This city is home to more than 225,000 people and seems to be growning every year. Chula Vista is located just seven miles south of Downtown San Diego and seven miles north of the Mexico border, providing both a fabulous climate and energizing character. The city’s four golf courses, numerous parks, Knotts Soak City USA Water Park and Chula Vista Nature Center allow locals and visitors to enjoy the great outdoors, while world-class shopping; dining and cultural facilities provide indoor entertainment.
Chula Vista is comprised of several zip codes and subdivisions and is the 2nd largest city in San Diego County. The zip codes include 91910, 91911, 91913, 91914 and 91915. Some of the main Subdivisions include Eastlake Hills, Eastlake Trails, Eastlake Greens, Eastlake Vistas, Eastlake Shores, Eastlake Woods, Otay Ranch, Rolling Hills Ranch, Rancho Del Rey, Sunbow, Winding Walk, and San Miguel Ranch. Most of the new subdivisions are Master Planned Communities designed for families and all alike. Within walking distance from most homes are walking trails, parks, schools, community centers and shopping.
Shopping in Chula Vista is very convenient for all that live in eastern Chula Vista. The Otay Ranch Town Center is the first major shopping and entertainment center to come to the San Diego and Chula Vista metropolitan market in more than 20 years. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants and entertainment for all. Other new attractions include Target, Home Depot, Lowes and Walmart. There are over 20 restaurants as well for your dining pleasure.
Chual Vista consists of your traditional single family detached homes, condos, townhomes and multi family units. Currently there are a total of 502 single family detached homes available ranging in price from $160,000 to $2,900,000. There are 275 condo/townhomes for sale ranging in price from $75,000 to $325,000. As of 4/1/2011 there are 420 homes - single family detached and condo/townhomes that are in Contingent Status (this is typically a short sale and the bank or banks are reviewing the offers). There are 269 single family detached homes in Pending Status (an offer has been accepted by the seller and the escrow process has begun) and 115 condo/townhomes in Pending Status. There have been a total of 417 detached single family and 192 condo/townhomes sold since January 1, 2011.
