Open House this Past Weekend
So I had an open house this past weekend at 14809 Glenmark Dr in Glen Eagles, Edmond, OK. As some of you may know, I'm a Realtor here in Edmond with RE/MAX. Another associate in my office (who has 20+ years with RE/MAX), has a vacant listing that her clients desperately want sold. There are two other houses across the street listed with other RE/MAX Agents from another office. We decided to all have an open house on the same weekend, and even though the weather was much worse this weekend than last, There was a great turnout, with 10 sets of people coming through (I only count each set of people as 1, because most only are going to buy 1 hosue).
Since I didn't have the house listed and was trying to simply pick up a buyer and expand my database, I made my own flyer with that particular house featrured but all the other homes in the neighborhood for sale listed below with my contact info and advertised my website, Edmond, OK Homes for Sale. The neighborhood, Glen Eagles, has homes ranging from around $300k to the mid $400k's.
As I just finished my first year selling Real Estate, I am always still willing to learn and try out new things. Is it worth it to have a log in sheet for people coming to the open house? Or am I better off hoping that they like me best? I guess my ultimate question remains unanswered: How do I best convert open house lookers to my clients?
