Green Builder Selects the AirTap for their Hot Water Solution

Martha Rose Construction selects the AirTap 150 as their hot water tank solution for their new homes City Cabins located on Seattle’s Queen Anne Hill neighborhood.

Integrated

City Cabins will use the 50 gallon (AT150) capacity system which offers the following features:

  • High grade stainless steel tank
  • Direct immersion structure
  • Equipped with refilllable anode rod
  • Air inflow and outflow vent adapters
  • Automatic controls with multiple operation modes

According to the US Department of Energy, households may spend as much as 25% of their total energy bill on water heating alone. It follows naturally that an energy efficient water heater can save families hundreds of dollars annually.

Conventional gas, electric or tankless water heaters are energy intensive, leading to a high per gallon cost of heating water.  The AirTap 150 electric tank should save a family of 3 in the Queen Anne Hill neighborhood approximately $274 per year compared to a gas tankless system.  That is using today’s energy rates.

Rose believes with energy prices in a constant flux its imperative to build homes that will reduce the homeowners cost of operation in addition to installing the energy-efficient equipment available.

City Cabins on Queen Anne Hill are due to be completed in October 2011 and are now available for presale.  For more information contact Adrian Willanger 206 909-7536.
