May’s Closed New Home Sales in Bothell, Wa.- Outpaced April 2011

May’s new home sale in Bothell surpasses April’s closings by 10.

The week of June1-June 6, 2011 in the sampling area saw an decrease of new homes from 148 to 135 available for purchase.

There were 15 pending sales for the week, William Buchan lead the way with 3 at theirLansdowne Heights Community in the West Hill area of Bothell.

The first week of June was a slow week for recorded new construction sales with 1. Last year, 2010, there were 33 total closings in June.

New home closed sales in the Bothell marked peaked in March with 38 closings, closed new home sales trended downward in April with 24.  May’s closed new home sales surpasses April’s total with 34.  Another piece of good news is that of the 34 closed new homes sales 19 of them were above the $400,000 which is a good indication that we have some move up buyers in the market.

We could see a big push for homebuyers trying to lock-up a new home purchase in before summer gets into full swing, interest rates remain low and there are builders offering incentives.
