Accomplish more when going to a Bothell Open House

What Should You Bring To A Bothell Open House

It is a beautiful Saturday afternoon and you are planning to attend a Bothell open house. What should you bring along? There are just a few simple things that you should take when going to an open house to help you remember what you have viewed and to make sure that you are taken seriously.

A notepad and pen

If you walk into a Bothell open house with a notepad and pen in your arms the agent that is hosting this open house can see that you are serious about looking at this home and will certainly pay attention to you. You may be given a guided tour and shown specific plus points about the house that you may not have otherwise noticed.

You will also want to take notes if you see a home that is interesting. Once you have looked at quite a few different houses in the Bothell area it is hard to remember which ones had the features you liked and which ones had problems.

It is always a good idea to take notes at any Bothell open house you visit, even if it is only to scratch off the house on your list as one that you're not interested in.

A card from your real estate agent

If you are already working with a real estate agent it is a good idea to bring along his card to show to the agent that is holding the Bothell open house. The hosting agent needs to know that you already have an agent to work with since he is not allowed to solicit your business if you're already working with one.

A  smartphone  or camera

If you see a few Bothell open houses that you find quite interesting you'll be able to remember them better by bringing along a camera for pictures. The photos that you see on the Internet are usually quite limited and you may want to snap a picture of an outside view or a certain room to look at later. Also, if you are going to the open house alone, you may want to bring back some photos to show to your spouse for further consideration. Of course, you must speak to the agent that is holding the Bothell open house first to make sure that snapping a few pictures won't be a problem.

These are the basics that you should be bringing along when you are visiting a Bothell open house. If you find yourself traveling around the city without them and decide to stop in at an open house anyway, feel free to do so. You can always contact your agent later for another follow up visit later if you like the home.
