There has to be a better way!

Why do this? So husband and I have been dreaming of owning our own business for years. We want to create wealth and have a better financial future. We also dream of not working at jobs but having careers we are actually excited about. maybe not be so tired all the time from the burn out  and working hard at a regular 9-5 type job and never being paid what we are worth. Husband has experience of remodeling houses for someone else so real estate investing has come up...

so here we are with bad credit and just struggling with children who are 11, 12 and 14. all girls. But we vow to do whatever it takes to make changes to turn things around.

Step 1 - we thought of a avenue.

Lonnie deals maybe (I heard about this in the forum discussions and it sounds like a cheap way to start) But we haven't even read the book yet. We ordered it to arrive in the local library. Instead Husband and I are busy reading blogs and article on the internet about it.

So i googled licensing  and called the Texas Dept of housting and community Affairs

877-313-3023 was tranferred to a licensing specialist and she give me a list of what we need to do if we wanted to sell/flipp or use the lease to own option once we bought a mobile home.

Surety bond for 50,000

Articles of Incorporation/business name filing

Course completion that is 3 days 20 hours in Austin, Texas which is 250 dollars and you take a test on the 3rd day

Retailer Installer License which is 900 dollars and some change

Another note she did say if I bought a house I need to put it in my name? not sure what that means yet......
