My Affirmation
Every morning I recite an affirmation. "I am so happy and grateful that I am able to .....". It is me saying what I want to accomplish in 3 years. I've been doing it for a month. Even though I haven't gotten any deals from my direct mail, that affirmation motivates me to keep pushing.
This week I didn't have any scheduled postcards to go out. Next week, code violations, probate, pre-foreclosures, delinquent taxes, and absentee owners will be mailed. I pulled evictions, but my web scrapper is not working so I can't mail to them yet. I found an old list of code violations from last year. I will go through it to see which ones fit my criteria.
I finished reading "Business Credit Decoded". I would like to establish some business credit without a personal guarantee. I bought some pictures and videos that's going to be added to my website. I made Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus accounts. I will hire someone to make them pretty.
I received one phone call this week. Owner was very ignorant, but I was polite. I couldn't even get the property address before he hung up. The owner of the tenant trashed house I looked at last Saturday is not calling me back nor replying to my emails. I think he is going to fix it up himself, but he did say others looked at the house. I'll email him again next week and offer to help in any way I can. The "taxes are eating my profit" guy hasn't called me back nor emailed me either. Guess neither one was as motivated as I thought.
I STILL HAVE HIGH HOPES THAT THE FIRST HOUSE IS WITHIN REACH!

Thanks. My goal is to show others that this hard work regardless of what the gurus say.
Unfortunately, the house was never finished. I ended up moving to Texas in the middle and don't trust anyone to oversee the project. It was so much fun.

Well, I am happy and grateful to read your blog. I am inspired and motivated, because you seem like a regular person like me except you have your eyes fixed all laser-like on your goals. Enjoyed your no-nonsense details about each step of your process and each method you try and re-try. I couldn't find what happened to the first house you bought that had to be renovated from the ground up and needed parts from the neighbor's demo'd house. Sounds like my kind of project.
Thanks so much for sharing!
