Saving yourself for later?

Let me tell you a
personal story...

A few years back one of my aunts and uncles retired from

the corporate world.

They had a lot of plans for what they wanted to do.

They had been saving up for years and were looking forward

to finally spreading their wings during retirement.

They relaxed and traveled for about 6 months and then they

both went out and got part-time jobs.

They missed working and the daily activity that it gave them.

And they were getting a bit restless at home.

They admitted that they just didn't have the energy to do all

the things they had been waiting for retirement to do.

This had a major impact on me and I swore to myself that I

was not going to wait until retirement to start living the type

of life I wanted to live.

The world's a big place and there is so much to see and do.

Waiting until I am retirement age to do it all just never

seemed right to me (even though that's the traditional way

everyone does it).

The problem at the time was that I still had a job and I

therefore could not escape the daily grind that was killing

my internal drive and creativity.

That's what drove me to finally break free.

Having my own business has changed all that and now I

pretty much do what I want, when I want.

It's a great feeling indeed.

If I want to take a trip, I pack a bag and go.

No one to ask permission from, and no worries about burning

up precious vacation leave.

And since I know how to keep my business running smoothly

even from the road, I am no longer tied down to any particular

geographic location.

That's true freedom.

These days, if something comes up with my family that requires

my attention, I can instantly give it my full and complete attention.

No need to miss important moments or events just because I

need to be at work to pay the bills and keep the lights on.

So why wait to start living life?

ANYONE can do it.

I'm not special.

The difference is that I took the ACTION and IMPLEMENTED

the necessary steps.

All this is possible because I choose to build my real estate

business around my lifestyle, not my lifestyle around my business.

I strongly encourage you to do the same.

How?

Start by writing down what your dream life would look like.

Figure out how much money it would take to finance it.

Then design a business around those requirements.

It'll start to take shape and you'll see the logical next steps.

Doing it this way makes it much more real and important to you.

When you can see the reasoning behind doing what you are

planning to do, it helps keep your mind focused and motivated.
