Tom broke my heart

Let me tell you a
very personal story of lost love and disappointment.



Many years ago I met a cool Australian girl at a party.



We'd occasionally go on a date, but she was always hesitant

and would never commit to any plans.



One night we were at a club.



At a quiet moment she told me:



"The guy who broke my heart was named Tom."



Now I knew why I wasn't getting anywhere!



Some other guy with the same name spoiled it for me.



"Just because someone else named Tom broke your heart

you hold it against ME?", I protested.



It's not an uncommon name after all.



But that's just the way it was.



And so the relationship fizzled.



Never went anywhere.



What's this got to do with real estate investing?



It's simple.



I see the exact same behavior stopping people from

moving ahead with their real estate investing business.



They get burned by some goo-roo, training program,

or real estate investor association, and they then blame

all gurus, training programs, and REIAs.



But that's just not accurate.



It's throwing the baby out with the bathwater.



Remember, just like relationships, you kiss a lot of frogs

to find your prince.



And in real estate investing you try a bunch of systems

and groups before you find the perfect match.



If you quit too soon just because you got burned once,

then you'll never find your true real estate business love.



And that would be a shame.



Because your own real estate investing business has

so much to offer you.
