Parkland Farmer's Market

It's back!  After a winter hiatus, the Parkland Farmer's Market is back.  If you love fresh local produce, flowers and baked goods, then you need to come to the Parkland Farmer's Market.  From 9am to 1pm on the first and third Sunday of every month, local vendors sell their wares at the Parkland Equestrian Center (8350 Ranch Rd).  Admission to the farmer's market is absolutely free.

In addition to vegetables, fruits, flowers, bread and other baked goods, you can buy herbal tea, Amish jams and jellies, fresh pasta, gourmet dips and oils, fresh cheese, cookies, cupcakes and many more delicious goodies.  There are vegan and gluten-free choices as well.  Looking for a gift to give that special someone?  Local artisans offer unique, handmade, one-of-a-kind merchandise that you don't want to miss.

Many people are making an effort to live a "greener" lifestyle.  They recycle.  They buy products that use recyclable materials.  They drive cars that get better gas mileage.  They carpool.  Whatever you can do to reduce your carbon footprint can make a difference in preserving the natural resources of Planet Earth.  Buying local produce and other goods not only helps you live a "greener" lifestyle, but it also helps keep the local Parkland economy thriving.  And, typically, edible goods bought at places like Parkland Farmer's Market don't contain harsh chemicals and preservatives that you find in supermarket produce.  That's a much healthier alternative!
