It's Funny How Leads Happen
I'm gonna blame back links from recent BP posts and assorted other good luck and maybe some Karma. Out of the blue, by no specific things done by me, I received two leads in my town from my website yesterday. These are the first leads from my website since February, as I have been not nearly as active here, and doing absolutely nothing to drive traffic.
One is a paid in full vacant extra house in a family. They've finally decided to sell. Asking price is definitely reasonable, with room to negotiate ddown further..this one looks promising. Owners will be in town Thanksgiving weekend so I'll look at it then.
The other is a decent house that wasn't very well taken care of. Comes woth a mortgage, and sits on a lot that needs some fill and grading...not for the faint of heart. major washout behind the house, about 8" of concrete showing below whatcused to be grade level. Will look inside this one this weekend.
Yay for random leads, wish me luck and proper due diligence!

Agreed! And keep in mind, if you have a website, make sure its in your profile so when you do participate, real (meaningful) backlinks are generated, which the searchenginess love.

You really never know where it is going to come from. I think it's all about showing up for things (events, gatherings, etc.), one of those times that you show up is bound to be the right place at the right time!

Right place right time definitely fits this example. I hadn't really thought about that until I read your comment. I haven't been very active on BP in the last few months, because my work is extremely busy between September and Thanksgiving. Last week, out of the blue, I received a message on here asking if it was okay to use my picture and a quote from Amazon here on this site. The message reminded me that I really need to become more active on BP again, because whenever I am fully participating in this site, good real estate things seem to just happen for me. I would tell everybody the same thing that you said, keep going places and meeting people, and 1 time or another, it will be the right place and the right time.

Great! I look forward to seeing you here. Although I've been investing for about 7 years, I am pretty new on BP. I am already enjoying the sharing of knowledge and information. Great place to be.
