10 Brutally Honest Ways to Save for a Home

So here at Movoto, we've been brainstorming on ways to encourage people to save money for a down payment for their dream home. Turns out that there aren't too many really unique ideas that are practical.

Basically, it comes down to the basics:

1. Don't Have Kids

2. Stop Using Your Credit Cards

3. Get a Room Mate

4. Stop Partying All the Time

5. Don't Have Pets

6. Downsize Your Living Arrangement

7. Spend Less on Meals

8. Cut Your Bills Down

Etc Etc

Plus, we came up with more 'unique ideas' such as making your own coffee at home! The moral of the story: Remind the younger generation to keep these basics in mind.
