Nashville Foreclosure Update and Buying Opportunities

Steve Jolly, owner of FastRealEstateMarketing.com and Real Estate Broker, shared the latest news on the Nashville Foreclosure Market and two of the newest bank-owned listings. 

 

Foreclosures rates have been declining in Nashville and across the nation for several months according to data from Corelogic.  Tennessee’s Foreclosure rate is significantly less than the average for the nation.  Loans in default are also trending downward.  More than 24,000 homes were foreclosed in Tennessee over the last 12 months for an average inventory of 1.6%.  The national average is 3.3% and the long term average is less than 1 percent. 

 

“The trend in sales, foreclosures and loan delinquency shows the Nashville market is stabilizing,” Steve Jolly said, “Bargains are getting harder to find.  Do not miss this great opportunity to buy while the inventory is on hand and interest rates are still low.”

 

Most experts expect these improvements to continue throughout 2013.
