Asset-Based Loans Help Finance Small Business Owners

With the scarcity of bank lines of credit and other business loans in 2013, small business owners may be forced to find other resources for financing in the new year. Whether the business financing need is for seasonal inventory or filling large pending orders, many small business owners can’t get bank loans. For this reason, many small business owners are seeking out asset-based private money loans to finance their business-related activities. What is an asset-based loan?

Private money loans are a form of non-bank loans that use hard assets as collateral. This is why private money loans are so commonly called, “hard money” loans. Business owners with real estate will utilize more private money loans to finance their business activities in 2014. Whether the real estate is a commercial building or an investment property, a business owner can put up a property for collateral in order to access the funds needed for business purpose.
