Week 2

 Hello Biggerpockets.com community!!!!

As you can see I am pretty excited.  This last week has been very motivating for me.  So to fill you all in on whats got me so chipper this morning, let me get to it.

This week I explained to my best friend all about what I am trying to do and what the business is.  He loved the idea and he decided to partner up with me.  He mentioned that his old landlord is a rehabber who buys and rehabs properties so I told him, ask him if he would like to be a part of our buyers list, and I gave him all the criteria to ask so we can only send him the properties that would interest him.  Now in a perfect world I would say, I got a contract and resold it to him for double.  Well its not a perfect world unfortunately.  lol.  So needless to say thats not what has me super excited.

What has me excited is that I got a lot of the tedious setup things done.  Oh the relief to have some sytems in place to automate and screen.  It feels wonderful to be done with it and have it up and working.  So I got a virtual receptionist that sends me the calls from all the people who are looking to sell a property, and it sends my friend all the calls from investors who would like to be added to our list.  Also I finished creating a website for people to go to, see what we do, and on the page for buyers has a form that collects all the criteria information so we can match our investors with appropriate properties.  So with those 2 things some what automated, I can focus on finding great deals.  Yes I know, I am easily amused but to feel a sense of the business moving forward, a sense of this whole business being a reality just feels wonderful.

Also this week I managed to find a couple sources for properties at a very low cost.  Sorry my little secret :-), let me get some under my belt before I go public with that.  Also I managed to find 5 investors who want me to send them information on properties when I find good deals.  I know its not a lot, but again, it makes this whole thing feel like a reality, not a pipe dream.
