New Construction is on the rise in Augusta GA
More Good Signs for Augusta's Housing Market

The city of Augusta, GA recently released a press release that announced some promising signs for the Augusta housing market. According to reports, new construction has increased by 25% from last year. The city had 308 new housing permits issued through October 2012, compared to just 245 housing permits through October 2011.
Mayor Deke Copenhaver comments on the encouraging signs:
"One of the key indicators for the strength of a city's economy is the overall strength and resilience of the local housing market.... Although our community was undoubtedly significantly impacted by the recession, our local real estate market was able to weather the storm in a stronger position than most other areas and I believe that these numbers are a strong indication that Augusta's housing market is headed in the right direction with better days to come."
Good things are happening in the Augusta market.
