The Joplin overtaking is back?

If you've read or followed my blogs, you'll remember that a while back I made a noble attempt to purchase some houses in Joplin, Missouri to no avail. 

Even more so, I decided to quit blogging about these things because for some reason, whenever I did, something would go wrong and I wouldn't end up with a property and I would cry in the fetal position on the kitchen floor :-)

Well recently, actually really recently, like yesterday! I tweeted someting. It was a simple tweet that said I was looking to connect with realtors in the South West Missouri area or something to that affect. I wasn't too confident that anything would come of it but I was bored and figured why not. 

Well, something really cool happened! Someone, a fellow member of BP who I've chatted back and forth with on twitter a few times sent me a message asking me how far south in Missouri, I mention specifically the Joplin area. Wouldn't ya know it, this guy doesn't live to far from Joplin, he's a short drive away in Kansas and he's got some contacts in Joplin. Even more cool, he's done 2 deals in Joplin recently. 

I was blown away! Actually, I was in awe, jealous and happy that he was able to do something in Joplin. I thought it was really cool! 

So we connected on the phone and chatted back and forth. He told me of a property that he has there now where he found a seller who was selling their house really cheap and he found a tenant/buyer who had enough of a down payment that he used the down payment to purchase the house. So now he owns the house free and clear and has money coming in every month. That's great!! He did really well with that! 

So I said @GregHarris66720 what else you got going on? I'll buy some deals from you if you got 'em or can get 'em! He gave me a lead that the seller is selling pretty cheap. I won't go into details yet because I don't know them all. I'd seriously rather wait until I buy the house before I do that considering my past experiences of blogging before it happens.

So, long story short is, because of a single tweet, I may have found the missing link to my Joplin, Missouri overtaking and his name is Gregory Harris. 

Greg informed me that he's done 27 deals since last October so I'm absolutely happy and impressed with him and more importantly, I know he knows what he's doing so it will be a perfect fit if I can work with him in Joplin. I'm hoping to buy a lot of houses from him as he wholesales/bird dogs them to me. Eitherway, I'm just happy to know him and happy to do business with him.
