Intro

 My name is Shannon and I love real estate. My Mom tells me when I was about 4 years old, instead of having tea parties with my stuffed animals, I put them around a little tea table and negotiated commercial real estate deals with them (she blames my odd fascination with a Donald Trump show for this hilarity). At 17 I started a forclosure fix and flip business, and did very well at that before I went to college.

I wandered away from real estate as a career for a long time, even though I kept a toe in the game and read listings like a hawk. My ex still jokes that you can tell if a puppy is healthy and happy by it's cold wet nose, and you can tell if I'm happy and healthy if I've got a couple tabs open in my browser and I'm looking at properties. 

During my time doing foreclosures, I got very good at obtaining tapes from banks. Currently, I'm gathering tapes from banks in all 50 states, and mostly I'm focusing on moving commercial properties. Since some tapes (and certainly the number I wrangle) are hard to get, I joined Bigger Pockets to help me move the smaller properties that the commercial buyers I work with just aren't interested in.

My brother is getting married soon, and he wants to have a little Lonnie Scruggs style empire, so I'm probably going to start putting together some of those deals, as well. It kind of pulls from my primary focus, of course, but I am a sucker for my little brother, and his fiance is fantastic. I want to make sure I help him get as good of a start to married life as I can.
