Childproof home safety tips for Georgia homeowners can be simple and easy. Every year, children are unintentionally hurt and sometimes killed by hazards in and around the house. Here are twelve tips for childproofing your Georgia home that can help reduce and prevent the risk of injury to your children.

 1. Install safety latches on all cabinets and drawers to prevent access to poisonous liquids and sharp appliances.

2. Secure bookcases and bureaus to the wall with brackets to prevent them from tipping over.

3. Put safety caps on unused electrical outlets, and ground outlets in the bathroom and kitchen with fault circuit interrupters.

4. Unplug electrical appliances near sinks after use to prevent accidental electrocution from contact with water.
