Update Feb 2014
Sorry for the lapse, last post was in August 2013.
It has been one year since I rebooted RE Investor business. I slacked off on my marketing and calls stopped coming. This week I will be doing my first direct mail campaign for cash buyers and motivated sellers for 2014. I know that a consistent marketing campaign is essential. Without marketing, there is no business per say.
Back in Sept 2013, I teamed up again with my mentor coach in NYC for retraining. I believe that some education is necessary, at least for me. I have been retrained for the current market with current market strategies.
For the new year, 2014, I will concentrate on wholesale, networking with RE Investors and finding cash buyers. I know how to locate the properties and I know how to evaluate the properties and put them under contract. I have a lawyer to do my title searches and contract reviews. My goal is to do 3-6 whole sale properties per month but that can only happen with a consistent marketing plan in place.
This year, I will be expanding my company. Right now I have an LLC but I am in the process of setting up a C corp. I am thinking bigger picture including selling stock shares and perhaps going IPO in the future. Selling stock can raise capital and the C corp allows for crowdfunding.
Lastly, I have found an eager student that will work with me as a paid intern helping with marketing and sales. I look forward to crossing over the threshold, to escape the liminal state and into a new prosperous successful wholesaler reality.
