A Lake Havasu Christmas in August

For kids, the most wonderful time of the year is Christmas.  For parents, Christmas comes in August, when children head back to school.  For parents of Lake Havasu City schoolchildren, the most wonderful time of the year begins on Monday, August 3rd.

Recently, the Arizona Dept of Education released their ratings for schools in the state and Lake Havasu students received high marks.  Specifically, Daytona and the former Havasuonline rated a Performing Plus, Havasupai and Lake Havasu High rated a Highly Performing and Smoketree, Thunderbolt, Starline, Nautilus, Oro Grande and Jamaica all rated as excelling.  This is fabulous news, since all schools in the district either maintained their previous year's status or rated higher than the previous year.  Way to go, students!
