April is coming to a close...

And what better time to reflect back on the last month, and to recollect all of the issues/stories/complaints that we've heard as landlords and property managers. These are the funny, quirky stories that keep us sane in this crazy business!

Let's hear your stories from the past month!

  1. When I knocked on the door - no one answers. Peeking in the window - there are the tenants lying on the floor trying to hide from the mean old landlord!

  2. yeah I was renting a house out and to my surprise one day i got a call from the cops telling me that the tenants found a homeless man in the family room sleeping with a gun when they came back late from vacation. Yeah! I asked the tenants how long were they out on vacation? they told me 3months. I was upset because they tried to sue me for that. lol never happened.

  3. It will take more than a month for my landlord stories to become funny.

  4. I don't have any good new landlord stories, but I'm all about it! Actually, your post brings to mind an old tenant in a building I had who called my manager complaining about having roaches. When management sent someone in, they noted that this person had been storing everything in piles in one room . . . garbage, clothing, etc. Sufficed to say, this person brought the roaches to the building . . . she was not living in the property for much longer! Anyone else with a good story?
