Stinky Homes Stink! Miami Beach Home Seller Tips
If you are thinking of selling your Miami Beach home and want to get top dollar, it’s important to make sure it doesn’t have unpleasant smell. As soon as you open the doors to the potential buyers the first impression is often the smell. The question is does your home smell nice, refreshed and clean? If not, it’s time to get to work so that every buyer is left with the best first “smell” impression.
Jamey & Ognjen talk more about what you need to know below.
When thinking about selling your Miami Beach Home here are smell tips that matter:
1. Before listing and before every showing. Clean the kitchen, take the garbage out, remove and clean the dirty dishes, bleach (which kills most of the bad odors) for drains and clean the refrigerator.
2. If you are smoker, don’t smoke inside. These days buyers avoid properties with any signs of cigarette smells inside the property.
3. If you have animals make sure they are clean and they not smell. Also, if there are carpets on the property make sure they are professionally cleaned.
4. Keep the AC on the appropriate temperatures. We live in Florida and with a lot of moisture, it is easy for the property to have a moldy smell.
5. Use neutral, light candles and air freshener smells.
The smell of a home is an important detail that should not be overlooked and can be the difference between offers coming in or not.
