Screaming Toward Christmas

Starting to ponder what 2016 goals should be. But first, oodles of Christmas gifts left to wrap… Got Subway gift cards and Vista Print Christmas cards mailed to our tenants this morning.

This week in rental news…

• Our basement is taking on water with the high rains we’ve had in the Pacific Northwest, but all is quiet with the rentals. Last week there was a roof leak at one of the duplexes.
• Got notice that a tenant has her authorized occupant roommate moving out and is on the hunt for another new roommate.
• Refunded tenants about $500 in water/sewer/garbage as a Christmas bonus of sorts. Is it a coincidence that our most responsible tenants use the least amount of water?!?
• Roto Rooter came out a second time to work on the plumbing issue. Sinks back up when laundry is done. Even with a year end rash of maintenance spend (roofs, plumbing, and rats, oh my!), we are poised to have a fantastic 2015.
