08.15.14 Banner Week - Leaderboard & Block Party
This has been a banner week in some ways, and a disappointment in others.
Tuesday I realized that I was on the BiggerPockets leaderboard, a feat I had written off as impossible. For months I couldn't get my score above 3, then suddenly I'm over 9. Crazy, but fun.
Wednesday our church hosted our third block party on our adopted block in the low income area I spend so much time and energy in. It was a taco feed this year, well attended, and after raining all day the evening was clear.
I was hoping I could add to the list that we placed a tenant this week, but our unit still sits empty. We have a had a lot of interest, and even more completed applications than usual, but few qualify and the one we offered it to flaked out, so we’re back to the drawing board…

Dawn, don't feel embarrassed, I keep it pretty low key. I started it before I discovered BP, out of my frustration of not being able to find detailed information. It doesn't seem as relevant now that I know that BP exists, but I followed through with the project. It is available on Amazon.
