If you end up looking to employ a realtor as your full-time property manager, make sure they come with solid references. You want someone who has experience managing other properties, and who has contacts in all areas of servicing. Also, be sure they have a flexible schedule and can be called upon even on nights and weekends if there is a problem with your rental. You are not just trusting them to collect your rent money each month, but also with the responsibility of finding qualified tenants who will not destroy your investment or your reputation as a landlord.
