The importance of mentoring and networking in multifamily

So we are getting closer to pulling the trigger on our first passive investment in multifamily. I'd say we are about two weeks away or less from doing this. But I am definitely interested in being more than just a LP (Limited Partner aka passive investor). But I'm not crazy/brave enough to just jump into trying to run the whole show myself.

So in addition to meeting anyone and everyone I can I'm also looking at several mentorship programs. I had coffee with a very smart younger guy yesterday. He is in a mentorship program and loves it. He's making offers on several properties close to town and it looks like he may get one of them.

As I've mentioned before I continue to be impressed with how friendly and helpful people are. It's quite a pleasant change from what I'm used to. And the people I'm meeting are all really smart and motivated. It makes me want to work even harder and be better.
