Seminar Sickness

I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in phoenix we are having a surge of gurus flooding in almost daily. It’s insane seeing so many people offering teaching classes for what essentially costs the same as actually buying houses! Let's teach people how to be financially free by getting them in debt. Now I’m not saying there isn’t a need for real estate investment mentoring but I have attended several of these seminars and have seen the pitches. At one, I saw a speaker offer one on one training for a fee that once you paid for all the courses and the tour and materials was close to $60,000. For that price I could go get a foreclosure and start flipping on my own.

At another seminar I saw a guru offer to joint venture deals and people literally rushed to the back to sign up. While the model seems sound, this person is relying on old data and again lives out of state. But yet people rush in and gladly give money and barely get any return. Often its to good to be true and there is ALWAYS an up sale later on.

So what is there to do? Well, here in Phoenix there is a new network of investors that offers mentoring without guru pricing. They are local and they have done local deals. They have the resources and they are more than willing to teach and help in all areas od real estate investing. They are the Matrix Investor Network and since I have joined with their network I have seen improvement in my investment strategy and overall business. So if you’re in the phoenix are I encourage you to look hem up an if you are not, keep an eye out because I see them expanding into other markets soon as more and more people leave the gurus for real mentors who actually do real estate investing and don’t just have a TV show. Happy Investing!
