How did I get into real estate?

Hello all. Thank you for checking out my blog. Before I get started with the details of my projects I will give a background on myself. 

I have been in real estate for just about a year and a half. Prior to owning my own development company, I was in the military for over 10 1/2 years and was two months away from separating when I decided to pursue real estate as a career.

What got me into real estate? I have a buddy who told me how much he was making in wholesaling and I ran with it. It seemed easy enough, but then found out real soon that it was easier said than done, especially in San Diego where the marketing competition is high. After I sent out about 1,000 postcards and getting ZERO response back, I reached out to a gentleman I was following on Facebook. It turned out he was a developer. After that one lunch and asking him questions, I found out really quick that real estate development was the right path for me. 

The following month, January 2014, I registered for my S-Corp.
