Bryan-College Station Lemonade Day
Do you want your child to take ownership of their lives and become
productive members of society?
Then sign them up for Lemonade Day, a free, fun experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business- a lemonade stand!

Beginning in Houston, Texas in 2007, Lemonade Day has grown from 2,700 kids to 120,000 kids in 31 cities Across America and Canada, including Bryan and College Station! The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, and forward thinking citizens of tomorrow.
How it works:
Those interested in participating can register for Lemonade Day at:http://bcs.lemonadeday.org
Each child that registers will receive a backpack filled with a workbook, mentor guide and other goodies! Participants can also “Brand your stand” and make a website to advertise their lemonade stand!
The backpacks must be picked up at these designated locations:
American Momentum Bank
Blue Baker
Copy Corner
Village Foods
(more information on locations can be found on the website)
Then, on Lemonade Day, May 3rd, each participant sets up their lemonade stand at the time and location of their choice and sells lemonade to the community! They keep all the money they make, and are encouraged to spend some, save some, and share some.
By participating in Lemonade Day, kids will learn things like
Financial Literacy and Economics
College Readiness and Career
Life Skills/ Personal Development
Academics
After Lemonade Day, participants are encouraged to submit the Business Results Form. Those that do by the deadline get automatically entered into the Best Business/Entrepreneur Contest. They also can enter their stand in our Best Stand Contest.
CONTESTS: On the Saturday before Lemonade Day there is a Best Tasting Contest. Categories include best taste, best presentation and most unique.
Come experience a program that helps kids acquire skills in goal-setting, problem solving, and gain self-esteem critical for future success!
