What's your rehab IQ?

So you've read lots of the great information on BP, read some books, maybe even attended some courses and feel like you're ready to jump into REI.  Great, but I have one question...what's your rehab IQ?

I've been involved with REI for about 10 years and have worked in corporate America for 20 years in a business development role.  I completed lots of deals and renovation projects both personally and professionally.  All I do now is buy and hold.  A little over a year ago I decided to start a contracting company that works exclusively with investors both residential and commercial.  My goal was two fold.  First fill a void I saw in the marketplace with a quality contracting service that understands the goal of the investor.  Second use the contracting business to fund all my investment activity.  I still work a full time day job so balancing all this has been challenging.

My goal with this blog is to provide some insight, information, and learning from my observations working with real estate investors from the contractor perspective.  So many posts on BP and elsewhere discuss the challenges of finding and working with contractors.  I want to address that and provide some guidance on how to smooth out this process.

So I hope you'll come along for the ride!  It's been exciting, frustrating, interesting, and an education for me.  Hopefully there will be of use for everyone else.
