How Do You Control your Expenditure ?

I work for 10$ per hour, and pay for everything on my own ( still a student :(, So the idea of spending 60$ for a night out makes me sick.

And here is a little trick how I control my expenditure,

I love Ben&Jerry ice cream which cost around 7$. So I tell myself is it worth THE TIME AND EFFORT ? I have to work 42 minutes to ''earn '' money for the ice cream + I have to go and buy it, which is another 20 minutes + I will get fat and have to go to a gym for another 30 minutes

So, if I buy the ice cream I will lose 92 minutes of my life, for something which gives me a pleasure for  2 minutes....and that is not a fair trade for me.

Is it a fair trade for you ? Always consider the TIME FACTOR.  If you apply this philosophy for most of your purchases, I guarantee you that you will save some money, and time.
