Nobody Wants to Work...

I have been hands on with my rental property since day one. I would prefer to be hands off, but for the moment I am sweating and acquiring carpal tunnel in the trenches of this project. I am reminding myself I wanted this!

I am a huge fan of the podcasts and I always get a good laugh out of the different contractor horror stories. It is not so funny now. I need some masonry work done in the back of my property. This guy came "highly recommended" from very, reliable friends. He did not show up for the second time today. Forgetting my name and address from 3 days ago confirmed it: I'm moving on. I'll end it there.

Another guy was supposed to show up at 9am. No call or text from him all day. 6 hours later he strolls up and decides he wants to work. I am all about helping guys out. But being unreliable can be frustrating and lame (to say the least).

More wallpaper to come down tomorrow. Also, repairing the leaks in the metal, garage roof. There will always be unknowns in life- but, truthfully I am having a blast with this :) Some things cannot be gained by reading a book.
