5 Real Estate deal killers
In today's video, I discuss the top 5 reasons why homes fail to close and real estate tips to consider:
1) buyers remorse - did the buyer act too fast and not they are 2nd guessing their decision? Do they have contingencies that allow them out of the transaction without legal recourse
2) did the appraisal kill the deal? does the appraiser know the market and the sub-markets?
3) Review the contingencies in the offer. Review with your attorney and understand what everything means in the offer. Know your options
4) Property inspections - do you know of any issues that will pop up during the inspection? My recommendation is to get a inspection paid by you (the seller) and deliver that inspection to all interested parties. This will provide full transparency in the beginning prior to anyone making an offer and will prevent someone renegotiating the deal after the inspection.
5) Do you have the wrong team? A real estate transaction has many moving parts and having people on your team that have experience and operate their business with integrity is a vital ingredient for a smooth and successful transaction.
