Best dinner money can buy.

Tonight was one of the best nights of my life. I just got home from having dinner with a friend of the family that has been a full time real estate investor for nearly 10 years. The steak dinner cost me $75 out of pocket. But the education I received was priceless. I was able to poke and prod and get his full story of going from a job where he worked for 13 years at the same company as a full time machinist to a self made real estate investor that gets to fish 100 days out of the year. I felt like i was the host of a biggerpockets podcast. He was able to tell me about his first deal where he made 17k on a wholesale. All the way to offering me my first deal that if I can find him a house that the owner is willing to carry a contract he will give me an assignment fee. He pushed me and inspired me to jump in now and start talking to sellers no matter what. He had a some wise words of advice after i told him that i didn't know exactly what to say to a seller if i did infact get them on the phone - " you have two options you can start marketing and talking to sellers and have a chance to close or you cannot and will never close" . I feel full of life and energy tonight. I feel like I just got the kick in the right direction that will now start a small snow flake to roll down hill into the avalanche that will be my real estate career.
