Well folks, I did it! I just put in my notice at my day job. It was a great feeling because it was the first step for me in my goal of financial independence and early retirement. It was also a scary feeling because I know I need to make this work or I will be in trouble. I am fortunate that my new wife (we got married 2 weeks ago!) will be able to support most of our bills and we have a relatively large amount of savings from living with our parents and saving up. 

My last day of work is July 29th. Starting August 1st, I will be posting 2-3 times a week with updates, things I have learned, and I am sure a funny story or two. Looking forward to this journey!
