Short Sales in Northern Virginia

In the past week I've been contacted by many investors who have short sales under contract that they are looking to pass on to other investors in Northern Virginia.

This is a significant increase in the volume of short sale deals that I usually hear about in any given week.

I don't know what to make of this, but I decided to report it and see if anybody has information that would help me understand if there are new factors in play that would lead to more investors getting short sale contracts suddenly.
