Wrap Your Head Around This!

Sometimes, the most obvious thing, isn't obvious until you change the way you look at it and talk about it. Real Estate is a but another form of business and sometimes traditional business owners don't realize this. They think it's for the "other guy/gal" who only owns buildings and rents them to him so he/she can put his/her business in there. When in fact it can be an additional revenue stream for you and your business.

I had coffee with a friend about a week ago and he was going on about how his latest client (a chiropractor) was buying the building his practice was in. Now, I've seen this many times in the land of insurance. The small office scales up and next thing you know they are buying a building for their business. But, what we seldom hear about, is how this mental transformation takes place.

Here's kind of how it happened. I say kind of, because I wasn't there and don't have all the details. But, here is what I do know. The chiropractor was about to renew his lease, but wasn't sure what was going to happen, because the building was being sold. Enter, my colleague (a commercial realtor) who says to him, "why don't "YOU" buy the building". The chiropractor comes back with a quick "oh no, I'm just a chiropractor and I don't know how to do that". So, as my friend explains to him the financial possibilities of wealth creation and business expansion he soon begins to understand the opportunity to grow his business in an entirely new way. Now, buying a building is no small matter. In fact it's huge (depending on the size of the building), yes, a pun was intended.

To wrap you mind around such a shift in thought can make you lose your breath. Which is why surrounding yourself with like minded people is important. Also, changing the way you talk to and about yourself is key. You are more than "just" anything.

I will leave yo with this. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. Change the way you talk to others as well as to and about yourself and you will change you life. Wrap you head around this!

Have an incredible week. Be well.
