Basement-Underground Plumbing Rough-In

In this video we complete the underground sewer main rough-in for the basement apartment!  There's a few other things thrown in to the mix with some upbeat music!

   This is an area where the newer investors that are somewhat handy can save some money.  Even if you don't know how to install the actual drain pipes, you can still do a lot of the labour prepping it for the plumber.  There's always a lot of concrete that needs to be jackhammered out and usually the plumber will mark out the areas that need to be removed.  If you have the knowledge to lay drain pipes as well, you might as well do it.  Plumbing is one of the most EXPEN$IVE parts of a renovation, aside from electrical.  There's been times where the plumbing bill was over $10,000 just to do a project like this house.(all new drains and water lines)   Of course if you are a successful investor, there will likely come a time in your career when you aren't interested in doing the work to save money anyway because your 'time' becomes too valuable and you'd just rather hire out the work.  Personally, I'm a hands on type of investor, and I'm also a licensed carpenter and have always made my living doing renovations so it's really hard for me to stay away!
