Dealing with Noise Complaints

One of the worst things a landlord has to deal with is definitely complaints from one tenant about another tenant.  These complaints can range over almost any possible problem.  Tenants love to complain to their landlord because they often feel like that's the reason they are paying the rent.  You are there NOT just to provide a home for them, but ALSO to solve every single problem they encounter in their lives.

Noise complaints are generally at the top of the list.  This is a common occurrence if you have multi-family dwellings, and ESPECIALLY if you have basement apartments. The last thing you want to do is end up losing a tenant because of noise complaints, or because you ended up in a screaming match with the alleged noise-maker.

Amanda is amazing at dealing with complaints from our tenants and here is an example of how she dealt with the problem.
