Golf Architects of SW Florida...

and are extremely well known for the number of quality golf courses in the area, which is due in great part to the architects who designed them.  Golfing icons like Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and Greg Norman are well known even beyond golf fanatics.  There are however great designers that are not known for their prowess on the course but are no less talented, and many of them have plied their skills in the area.  One of the most prolific for is Arthur Hills.  Responsible for roughly 200 courses in his career, one of his best creations locally include the 3 nines (The Club, The Pelican, The Bay) at .  (As a footnote, Mr. Hills father once said that “The Club was the best 9 holes” that he had ever done.)  One of his latest efforts was the TPC at , where he worked with golfer Hal Sutton.  Additional area courses that are part of his resume include Collier’s Reserve, 2 courses at , , , , , 2 courses at and 3 courses at West.  Another name that is quite familiar with local golfers ...http://chrisanddick.wordpress.com
