Easy Curb Appeal Updates For 2018

Does curb appeal matter if you are trying to flip a house? Well, have you seen the research online that claims that buyers can decide (within the first eight seconds of seeing a property) if they would be willing to buy it? So what are potential homebuyers going to see in the first eight seconds after driving up to your house? If you’re listing your property soon and expect immediate interest, give the below tips a try.

Cleanup The Yard

You may not have the money or time to invest in new landscaping, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make the yard look presentable. Buy a bunch of mulch at Home Depot for cheap. It is one of the easiest ways to transform your yard and make it look fresh and neat. Plant some fresh flowers in pots placed near your front door and add a new welcome mat to finish the look. Mow the lawn and trim branches to give it a tidy look and feel.

Clear The Pathways

Get out the hose and spray away all leaves from sidewalks and walkways. Large piles of leaves in the front and backyard can be a huge turnoff to potential homebuyers because it may make them think the home is unkempt or that the yard is hard to take care of.

Power Wash Or Paint Job?

Walk around and inspect the outside of your home. Do you notice any peeling and chipped paint? It might be time to consider repainting the exterior. Check the windows, walkways, and smaller details that are looking drab. A quick power washer can help transform these areas without breaking the bank. You can easily rent a power washer yourself if you don't have one.

Revitalize Your Front Door

Consider updating your front door for new, fresh look. A new entry can return between 75–100 percent of your investment. Add a pop of color and paint your front door if you don’t have the funds to update the whole house with a fresh paint job.

Follow the above tips for some easy curb appeal fixes to  sell your home quickly this year . Good luck!
