Housing Will Take a Minimum of Three Years to Recover
The housing market will take a minimum of three years to recover as continuing foreclosures are hurting the market and not allowing it to stabilize. This was the opinion of Lewis Reanieri – a pioneer in mortgagebond matters. During a panel talk at Milken Institute Global Conference at Beverly Hills he said, “There’s another big leg down and the question is how long does it stay. You can’t have much of a rally when you’ve got this big overhang.”
It is apprehended that in the current year foreclosures will touch another record with over 1 million houses set to be taken over by the banks according to RealtyTrac. Last March unemployment was 9.7% – it being unchanged since the last three months according to the findings of Labour Department.

As long as Realtors continue being a major roadblock to the recovery - it will take more than three years to recover! The best thing that could happen would be for the government to dismantle the National Association of Realtors!
