Foreclosure Numbers are Declining But the Healing has not Started

Although the rate of foreclosures decrease in more than half of the pockets most affected in the country, we have not seen a permanent cure.

Foreclosure numbers have declined in over half the worst hit pockets in the country but paradoxically the healing has not started as yet. According to RealtyTrac foreclosure postings dropped in fourteen out of the mega twenty cities of the country, year by year. Most of the concentration has been in Arizona, Florida together with Nevada and .

The improvement in the foreclosure situation during the first three months of this year as compared to the same period in 2009 could be a jugglery with figures because as yet there is no solid sign of the trend changing direction. James Saccacio of RealtyTrac said, said the decrease of numbers in some of the hot spots of the nation is not a sign “that those areas are out of the woods yet.”
