The Sun and the Moon

So we got the inspection back. To me, it seemed pretty long and I started to freak out a little bit internally. Then, I remembered the house was built in 1913, and that the fact that we have so many things on the inspection means that we had a really good inspector!

When I looked more closely, there were really not too many things in the NEED TO FIX RIGHT NOW category. We ended up asking for the HVAC systems to be serviced (they look like they have not been well-maintained but I think they are salvageable), for the code violations to be fixed (not enough smoke detectors, railings, etc), and a few other small details. As our agent put it, we're asking for the sun and the moon and seeing what we get.

So now we wait. They have until tomorrow to respond, and judging from previous communications, they will take until then...
