Smart Small Investments in your IRA

We had another case study of IRA investing success come across our desk recently. Kirstie Brooks, a medical industry professional had just opened her IRA and wanted to invest in real estate but opening an account with only $5000.00 she thought would keep her out of the investment game for a few years until she built up enough funds.  Her goal was to get into land contracts so that she could receive monthly cash flow.

We suggested a payment stream. She could buy 1 years worth of payments on a land contract to get actively involved in the investment process. She invested her $5000 into the next 12 payments of a land contract at $475.00 a payment. She realized a net gain of $700.00 for those payments, and because each payment becomes available cash to her, she can reinvest into new payment streams faster and generate returns of 12-15%.

Another example of asset, liability, and government protection. Those are the beauties of an IRA!!
