Investor-friendly agent specializing in long-term/buy&holds, fix & flips and short-term rentals. I started my real estate journey in January 2020 when I purchased my first single-family home. Since then, I have acquired 5 more single-family homes and 2 duplexes. I got started by doing a cash-out refinance on my primary residence (now a rental). I formed a partnership for my last deal to purchase 6 of the units. I manage 7 of the 10 units myself, so I can help direct investors on managing their properties. I am a licensed CPA and Financial Specialist, so I am comfortable reading and interpreting financial statements. As such, analyzing deals is where I can provide the best service. I have concentrated on cash flowing properties with a target of a cash-on-cash return of under 5 years. Books that have helped, shaped, and guided me: The One Thing, Shoe Dog, The10X Rule, Am I Being Too Subtle, Think and Grow Rich, Relentless, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Wooden, Who Not How, Traction, Your Next Five Moves, Good to Great, Get a Grip, The EMyth Revisited, The Book on Managing Rental Properties, The Multi-Family Millionaire, Crushing it in Apartments and Commercial Real Estate, The Property Manager Mindset, Sold, Rich Dad Poor Dad and so on.....

“Josh was very knowledgeable and helpful in every aspect in our journey.”

Questions investors in Lansing ask

Local answers only. The general ones (what investor-friendly means, what it costs, how vetting works) are on the main finder page.

What do Lansing agents specialize in?

The 1 agent listed here specialize in land, multi-family (2-4 units), multi-family (5+ units), primary residence, and single-family rental.

Do these agents cover DeWitt, Dimondale, and East Lansing too?

Yes. Between them, the agents listed here also serve DeWitt, Dimondale, East Lansing, Grand Ledge, Haslett, Holt, and Okemos. If your search is really greater Lansing rather than the city itself, start with the agent whose reviews mention the town you are buying in.

How should I choose between them?

Read the investor reviews first, then the agent's own forum posts, which show how they think about a deal before you have spent an hour on the phone. Ask each for the last three investment deals they closed in Ingham County and how those deals performed. An agent who works with investors will have the numbers ready.

What is an investor-friendly real estate agent?

An investor-friendly real estate agent represents buyers who purchase property to rent, renovate, or resell rather than to live in. They can price a property against rent comps and renovation costs, not just against nearby sales, and they are used to offers written for speed and inspection terms an owner-occupant would not accept. Many are investors themselves.
